Sozo Coffeehouse
About This Spot
Sozo Coffeehouse feels like settling into a warm living room filled with the quiet hum of creativity and comfortable chatter. Nestled in the heart of Omaha’s Jones Street, it blends the charm of a neighborhood café with the inviting spirit of a community hub. The pace is unhurried, a gentle rhythm where study sessions, friendly games of pool, and casual conversations unfold naturally amidst walls adorned with local art.
Walking through its doors, you’re wrapped in an atmosphere that’s both lively and calming, a place where the aesthetic is thoughtfully curated yet never intimidating. It’s easy to see why folks linger, coaxed by the familiar comfort of a softly steamed lavender latte, the playful sweetness of a Hello Kitty latte, or the refreshing zing of a house-special iced chai. There’s something quietly magical about the way these drinks complement the space—each cup a small, personal ritual amid the ebb and flow of activity.
Sozo isn’t just about coffee; it’s a place where moments become human stories. Whether you’re tucked away in a study nook, challenging friends over board games, or soaking in a late-night event, the energy is genuine and welcoming. Baristas here are more than servers—they’re part of the community’s pulse, intuitive to the little needs that make a visit feel special.
At its core, Sozo Coffeehouse is where art, warmth, and approachable hospitality meet, offering a space that’s as much about connection as it is about the perfect cup. It’s a refreshing reminder of how a simple coffee stop can be a quiet adventure in everyday joy.

Really nice space to chill and enjoy. We just came in for drinks and left. Had the best iced Chai tea Latte ive ever had. Awesome flavor, not just weak tea flavor. Hubby got americano and it was good.

If a cozy living room, an art gallery, a study hall, and a café had a caffeine-fueled baby, it would grow up to be Sozo Coffeehouse. The lattes and coffees? Outstanding. The smoothies? Shockingly good. And the burgers are so delicious you’ll start questioning what kind of magic they’re using in that kitchen. Service is friendly and efficient. It’s a whole vibe playground: Board games Study spots Pool tables Local artwork everywhere Cute merch you’ll pretend you’re “just looking at” Sozo is the kind of place you pop in for a drink and somehow stay two hours. Funky, cozy, creative—10/10 would sip, snack, and hang out again.

Can definitely get busy but is such a cozy spot with great art from local artists hanging in the walls, comfy seating, games and pool tables! Baristas are always super friendly and welcoming. Also serves as a ministry(?) I believe - if that’s not your bag, you can still enjoy the place just as much but don’t be surprised if you see religious undertones, overhear talks of mission trips! Love that this coffee shop is open late as well

We hosted our post-wedding day brunch at Sozo Coffeehouse, and it was an absolute hit! The quirky, welcoming space was perfect for our group—both the adults and kids loved exploring, playing games, and relaxing together. The coffee was fantastic, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. It made for the perfect backdrop for our farewell brunch and couldn’t have been a more fun, laid-back way to wrap up our wedding weekend. Highly recommend!

I love this place. It’s a wonderful option for people who want coffee later in the night plus they have study rooms that you can rent for only a few dollars per hour so you can get some privacy whenever you might need it. There’s local art posted around available for purchase and they reallymake sure they’re ingratiated with the community.

Great coffee and a great study place vibe! As a visiting student in the area, I wish I had a really chill vibe of a coffee shop to do homework or rent a study room at! Coffee is excellent as well! (They have treats that seem to also be a local favorite) Study rooms cost $2, $5, and $20(for a big conference room) per hour. They have pool tables for $3/half-hour and $6/hour. They also have a cool stage that they hold events at and a boardgame/fooseball corner for more fun. Awesome to see a place not only hold places for customers to have a space and be productive, but also to gather for events and community as well!
